About Us

Midcore games – are video games that bridge the gap between simple casual games and demanding hardcore games.

The International Association of Developers of Midcore Games is a non-profit community (it is not a legal entity in any country), the purpose of which is to support professionals in the field of midcore game development, their professional competence, reputation, software skills and just a place where everyone can find like-minded people. The Association members’ geography is not limited to a certain region, and is in no way related to political or any other views.

Our History

The International Association of Developers was founded on October 30, 2020 by Mike Sviblov as a private Telegram chat — a focused, invite-only space for seasoned professionals across the video game industry, with a particular emphasis on midcore game development.

What began as a small circle steadily grew. Despite a strict admission policy — membership by direct link and with approval from any Honorary Member — the community expanded through trust, professionals and respect. Over time, it reached 2,000 participants united by a simple purpose: to share hard‑won experience and build better games together.

This culture of peer exchange, experience, pragmatic craft, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration became the Association’s hallmark. Producers, designers, engineers, artists, analysts, and product leaders meet as equals, comparing notes on what works, learning from failures, and raising the quality bar across midcore and adjacent genres.

In December 2025, Igor Stoliarov — an Honorary Member since the Association’s inception — launched this website to make our association more visible to professionals worldwide: a clear signpost that there is a place for them to gather, contribute, and grow.

Today, the International Association of Developers remains proudly independent and community‑driven. Our roots are private; our mission is public: to connect the people who make games — and to help them make better ones together.
